To establish communication between two people it is important for them to have knowledge and understanding of a common language. However, people with hearing disability need a Sign language to communicate. The normal people find little difficulty in understanding and interpreting the gesture made by a deaf and dumb people. The work presented in this paper aims to reduce these difficulties. There are many research works have been published regarding American Sign Language but only few was made for the people who solely rely upon their native language for expressing their thoughts. This paper introduces a real time software system that will able to recognize Indian Sign Language (ISL) hand gestures. The user must be able to capture gesture using web camera and this system will predict and check whether it is correct or not. A live feed will be captured using Open CV. Captured image undergoes series of processing steps which include various Computer Vision Operation like gray scaling, background subtraction and thresholding. Convolutional neural network is used to train our model. The Keras and Tensorflow are used for prediction.
