FACE RECOGNITION IN SOCIAL NETWORKS USING BIG DATA

Abstract

Face recognition (FR) has been at the crux of several novel breakthroughs over the past two decades, and it has progressively provided a variety of cross-domain applications ranging from popular commercial software to vital law enforcement applications. Recent breakthroughs in Big Data analysis, Cloud Computing, Social Networks, and Machine Learning have drastically altered the conventional perspective of how to approach some difficult problems in Computer Vision. As a result, in this paper, we will present a comprehensive overview of the concepts of Cloud Computing, Big Data, Social Networks, and Machine Learning from a contemporary FR perspective, as well as a framework for a novel FR approach based on the Extreme Learning Machines technique to perform Face Tagging for Social Networks operating on Big Data The favourable features of the aforementioned notions are combined in the suggested strategy to establish a successful coalition that may enhance the performance of FR while also serving enormously in a variety of other disciplines.
