INTERNET OF THINGS BASED BLOCKCHAIN FOR TEMPERATURE MONITORING AND COUNTERFEIT PHARMACEUTICAL PREVENTION
ABSTRACT:-
The top priority of today’s healthcare system is to provide medicines directly from the manufacturer to the end user. The pharmaceutical supply chain involves a certain level of integration of a group of stakeholders such as distributors, manufacturers, retailers, and clients. The temperature is the one of the important factors that affects the quality of Pharmaceutical products and hence the biggest challenge associated with this supply chain is monitoring temperature and preventing counterfeit drugs. Most drugs and vaccines always work within a certain temperature range. If exposed beyond this range, the drug no longer works as intended. If it’s used after exposing range, it’s harmful to our body.
In this paper, an Internet of Things (IoT) framework is based on a blockchain-based sensor that tracks and traces drugs as they slowly pass through the entire supply chain. On the other hand, these new blockchain technologies and IoT sensors play an important role in supply chain management. On the other hand, they also introduced new security challenges for IoT-blocked devices and blockchain measurement problems to manage this IoT sensor-based information. In this paper, We add the temperature level of the surroundings in the blockchain network using a temperature sensor and all vaccine QR code is also stored in the blockchain. The QR code contains all the information of manufacturer details like name, address, mobile number and temperature range of that vaccine. That QR code is scanned by the user at the time of purchasing it will display all details and check its temperature range. If it’s temperature range is between the threshold value it’s quality is ready to use else it’s not usable. We focus on developing the old blockchain systems to make them fit for IoT-based supply chain management, and as a second focus, use these promising new technologies to enable an effective health system through the drug supply chain.
OBJECTIVES OF THE PROJECT:-
The main objectives of this system are:
- The objective of this paper is to analyze the current research trends on the usage of Block chain related approaches and technologies in an IoT context, and point out the main open issues and future research directions.
- This paper’s main objective was to enhance the functionality of the Pharmaceutical industry using emerging and innovative computer technologies like IoT and Blockchain.
- The objective of this review study is to analyze all the relevant studies on preventing or reducing falsified and counterfeit medicines through digital intervention following a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach.
EXISTING SYSTEM:-
With this proposed model, the manufacturer will be able to upload information associated with the drug, after which it will be submitted for approval to the Government. Thereafter, hospitals and pharmacies, depending on their needs, may request approved medications. In the future, if a patient needs certain medications, he or she should request them on a blockchain network. The application will be sent to the nearest hospital / pharmacy and after that, the patient can collect the medication. To use this model, we have used the Hyperledger fabric due to the presence of many automated features in it. Our use of the proposed blockchain-based model highlights that the model can successfully detect any counterfeit drug. This will be useful for users affected by counterfeit drugs. In addition, with the proposed model, we can also track the movement of a drug from the manufacturer to the patient taking the drug.
PROPOSED SYSTEM:-
As pharmaceutical medicine moves through the supply chain and needs trust from all parties concerned, we integrate blockchain technology. due to the area allotted to the blockchain surroundings, build trust within the digital system. The projected framework uses a QR detector and QR scanner that permits the testing of all device information to observe temperature and packets QR code data. If the temperature is exceeded or if the QR code information is modified within the packaging, the system can not accept packets. The QR code utilized in the model is trendy, clone-proof and secure.
The blockchain stores all the items of data generated by the sensors and QR code readers. Within the event that a bunch of organizations desire to stay info confidential to alternative organizations, the projected model uses Hyperledger. Hyperledger uses totally different channels wherever transactions (ledger) for one channel are personal and hidden in another channel. within the projected system, it’s simple to prove at any time that drug packets or device information weren’t used. We’ve used digital signature schemes to guard sensor information. In our project we add all vaccines information , manufacturer details in QR code and this information is kept in blockchain. If the user scans the QR code exploitation mobile or uploading a file on the server , it’ll get the temperature vary. If the temperature is below the brink value its quality is prepared to be used otherwise it’s unusable.

- Manufacturer Login: Manufacturer have to login himself to add the medicine information.
- Upload details: Manufacturer can add medicine information on block chain network.
- View medicine: User can view medicine information by scanning the QR code by android app.
- Detect quality: User can view quality of that medicine by upload the QR code.
